FBI’s Response on Satoshi Nakamoto Sparks New Speculation

The FBI has sent a “Glomar response” to a request for information on Satoshi Nakamoto, the mysterious person who created Bitcoin. The statement does not confirm or deny the presence of records.

This answer neither admits nor denies that records exist about Nakamoto. This makes it even harder to figure out who or what group is behind the fake name. Investigative reporter Dave Troy made the request. In their answer, the FBI said something interesting:

Nakamoto might be a “third party individual,” which is a term usually used for a non-U.S. person and not a group or collection. People are wondering again who Nakamoto really is because of this title. Some people think Nakamoto could be a single person, while others think it could be a group of people or even the government.

The FBI’s answer could mean that they have more details they don’t want to share, which would make the puzzle even more complicated. Even though Troy didn’t want to directly reveal Nakamoto’s identity, the FBI’s vague answer could lead to that result if more information comes to light through requests or further inquiries. Satoshi Nakamoto is thought to have created Bitcoin and written the important white paper on it in 2008. His name is still one of the biggest secrets in the cryptocurrency world. The latest response from the FBI has made the discussion more heated.

There are different theories that Nakamoto’s work may not have been the work of a single person but of a group. Even though there is a lot of talk about Nakamoto, no one really knows who created Bitcoin. This is because studies and FOIA requests are still going on.
