Elon Musk Confirms Massive Cyberattack on X Amid Global Outages

A large-scale cyberattack caused great disturbance on the social networking platform. X; Elon Musk confirmed a well-coordinated attack on the site. Users all around battled to access the platform, which sparked questions regarding cybersecurity risks aimed at important digital environments.

On March 10, social media platform X suffered a major outage, causing problems for users all around the world to access the site. Later on, proprietor of the site Elon Musk revealed that the disturbance resulted from a major cybercrime.

Musk claims that the attack was quite well-coordinated and carried out using rather significant resources. “Daily we deal with cyberattacks; this one was more severe. Involved may be a sizable organization or possibly a nation-state,” he said.

According to reports, Downdetector—a tool for tracking service interruptions—logged over 33,000 outage complaints. Many users claimed not being able to access their accounts for long periods, load feeds, or upload material.

This cyberattack is the most recent one X has had to contend with. Reports of attacks against Musk’s businesses, particularly Tesla stores, have been increasing recently. Certain events included vandalism and even gunfire aimed at Tesla stores, which fuels rumors that Musk personally is being singled out.
